Relationships in High School...

When is it going too far when you are in a
relationship? When your attitude starts to change, when your grades start to fall, or when you become depressed and not want to do anything? Relationships in school can be very stressful. At times you find yourself spending that extra hour on the phone, even though you know that you should be studying for a test. Or you catch yourself distancing away from your friends. Is "being in love" worth losing everything you worked hard for?
"It really isn't. I broke up with my boyfriend because i saw my grades slipping. It was hard, but i got over it." Vanelia Vazquez says. But it doesn't always happen that way. Many girls feel that they cannot live with out that other person or that they've put so much time into something and don't want to give it up. How much has to fail or be effected before you give it up?

Midterm Week!

Ever feel pressured around midterm week? I think anyone who knows what this means, feels very pressured. This week means 25% of your grade for the marking period. It's horrible! The City School District shouldn't have students attend school that Monday, so that they can have an extra day of studying. Instead of having to cram information into your head the night before with out having the day off! I find this to be really ridiculous that the City School District needs to test us on what "we've learned." Do they not believe that we've learned anything?

Excited for the Holidays?

If you are planning on buying Christmas gifts this year, then you know the stress that many are feeling. With parents, siblings, and significant others what exactly do you buy? It doesn't help that money has become pretty tight this year either. The people I plan on buying gifts for this time, are only for family members and my significant other. Everyone else will probably get a card.

Enough Time....really?

Some of us have been here for a thousand years it seems and are ready to be out. But are we really? Are the seniors this year ready to step out into the "real world?" Some seniors have become accustom to their high school and are not ready to leave the nest and fly yet. We have gotten used to the rules regulations of high school, but are we really ready for the new rules that are going to be thrown at us?
